CASIO's shock-resistant G-SHOCK watch is synonymous with toughness, born from the developer Mr. Ibe's dream of 'creating a watch that never breaks'. Each watch encompasses the 7 elements; electric shock resistance, gravity resistance, low temperature resistance, vibration resistance, water resistance, shock resistance and toughness.

Now the G-Shock family welcomes its latest addition, the GA500, a brand new model featuring a unique round case shape that will be sold exclusively online starting this October. Inspired by urban sports, the design of the new watch is modelled after a bike wheel. It features a bold, round face with multi-dimensional hands and is made with a new resin moulding technology that reflects a road bike dial-and-wheel motif.

The GA500 watches are the first Casio digital-analog models equipped with large front buttons at six o'clock, which activates the stopwatch with one touch. The watch also boasts a retrograde second hand with a dual coil motor, a digital minute LCD display, and slanted buttons for minimal interference. The GA500 comes in three colourways including all black (GA500-1A), white with black accents (GA500-7A), and black with red accents (GA500-1A4).

In addition, the GA500 is equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology, including 200M Water Resistance and Shock Resistance. The series also features a LED Light to increase visibility, as well as World Time with 31 time zones that includes 48 cities + UTC, 4 Daily Alarms, 1/10th second stopwatch with a target time alert, 1/10th second countdown timer, and a hand retract function, all in a 48.9mm case.

The GA500-1A, GA500-1A4 and GA500-7A will retail for $140 USD beginning in October 2016, and will be available for purchase online and the G-SHOCK Soho Store.
