As a multi-racial country, Malaysia is blessed with many cultural and religious celebrations and festivals. With the holy month of Ramadan just around the corner, we’ve put together a list of hotels and restaurants in KL where both Muslims and non-Muslims can enjoy scrumptious local and international cuisine.

Hilton Petaling Jaya

“Jom makan” is a Malaysian term for ‘let’s eat’, and Hilton Petaling Jaya invites guests to do just that with their Jom Makan buka puasa feast. Focusing on traditional favourites from the different states in Malaysia, guests can sample over 150 dishes at the hotel’s Paya Serai restaurant. Stop at the live cooking stations and watch as chefs whip up grilled seafood, lemang, gear box (oxtail) soup, lontong and more. Malaysian favourites like roti canai, murtabak, dimsum and Hainanese roast chicken rice are also on the menu. Adding to the atmosphere are food truck vendors outside the hotel, presenting street food and local specialties including char kuey teow, rojak and satay cooked over a charcoal fire. The buffet is available from 15 May to 14 June.
