Discover exquisitely-made handicrafts and innovative lifestyle products at the 3rd Kuala Lumpur International Crafts Festival, happening from 23-26 November at Putrajaya Square, Precinct 3, Putrajaya.
Themed ‘Craft Unites People’, the annual event is organised by the Malaysian Handicraft Development Corporation (MHDC) under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia, to promote local craft products internationally and create public awareness on the uniqueness of craft products from abroad.
The event’s main highlight will be its sales exhibition, featuring hundreds of participants from 38 countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, China, India, Japan, Pakistan, USA, Peru, Iran, Egypt and more. Visitors will get to shop for traditional handicrafts unique to each region, among them batik and keris from Malaysia, and lacquered boxes from Vietnam.
Other activities in the lineup include craft-making demonstrations, meet-and-greet sessions with artisans, domestic and international cultural performances, as well as art talks and live drawing sessions. There will also be family-friendly contests and games, fashion shows, lifestyle booths and food stalls.
