This season's fashion must-haves for both men and women

CLASSIC SOPHISTICATION

Dudalina’s latest collection is inspired by the exotic city of Marrakesh. The Brazilian fashion label presents a variety of shirting options for men, ranging from casual linen to rugged denim. The women’s collection, on the other hand, surprises with contemporary cuts and styles that denote a timeless yet trendy aesthetic.

FEMININITY & GRACE

Swarovski’s famous swan motif is given a fresh makeover for Spring/Summer 2018. The season sees it taking on a brilliant new form with of-the-moment shapes and silhouettes such as ear jackets and open bangles. An element of modernity is also captured in a stylised pendant of the beautiful bird, designed with outlines that evoke crystal facets.

A METROPOLITAN EDGE

The Cube is a new line of men’s city sneakers from Salvatore Ferragamo. Stylish and functional, the designs feature cubic-edged rubber soles that come in shades of white, navy blue, black, amber or honey. The bottom is designed with the same geometric shapes, boosting the shoe’s ground grip and support for the most pressurised part of the foot.

ENDURING SUSTAINABILITY

H&M’s 2018 Conscious Exclusive collection draws from the creative home of 19th and early 20th-century Swedish artists Karin and Carl Larsson. It features new sustainable materials – recycled silver, which is used in jewellery, plus Econyl (a 100 percent regenerated fibre from fishnets and other nylon waste), woven into a delicate sheer fabric with dramatic embroidery. The collection is available from 19 April.

FALL IN LOVE

Tod’s Gommino shoes and bags for the current season have come to life with cartoon-inspired eyes and hearts. The visually creative campaign is told via a sweet love-at-first-sight story set within the brand’s store. An animated short movie featuring artist Ana Strumpf’s illustrations has also been released to celebrate the collection.

FOR TODAY’S TASTE

The CK Calvin Klein Spring 2018 collection for both men and women is timeless, bold and subversive. While retro fabrics, cuts and lines hark back to early 1990s chic, contemporary takes on sportswear usher in brazen new additions to complement any wardrobe. The offerings include four interpretations of the classic cotton trench, as well as a refined trench that is clean and modern.

AQUATIC ALLURE

Paul Smith looks to the ocean for the current season with a black-and-white campaign featuring Polish model Malgosia Bela and her British counterpart Ben Allen. The South of France is said to be a key reference, with neon signs, a seascape background and sandy beach floors combining to create images that have the characteristic irreverent spirit the fashion label is known for.

TO THE BEACH

The second collaborative collection from JW Anderson and Uniqlo celebrates Britain’s Brighton Beach. It provides a unique take on the culture found there, fusing quality fabrics with a fabulous fit and functionality. Complementing the unisex designs are items that enable casual mixing and layering, allowing for an array of styling alternatives. Available from 20 April.
