A woman’s beauty is seen as her strength and courage in overcoming adversity. With this concept in mind, Royal Selangor created Pink, an inspiring collection of personal accessories for women.
Since it’s launched in 2014, Royal Selangor has contributed more than RM65,000 to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) as a result of the proceeds from sales of the collection.
“Royal Selangor has been working with BCWA since 2006 to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer with products like the Jelly Mould as well as activities such as the Jelly Making Workshop and the #RSpinkchallenge Instagram project,” explained Yong Yoon Li, Executive Director of Royal Selangor International.
“The support received for the Pink collection, which was launched in 2014, has been very encouraging and we hope to continue raising funds for BCWA through the sales of this collection,” she added.
The collection’s signature look features a glossy pewter surface accented with an assortment of brilliant crystals from SWAROVSKI® ELEMENTS. Different shades of coloured crystals – from clear to light and dark pink, are used to create the dazzling designs.
The shapes of the limited edition pieces from Pink are derived from seashells, a universal symbol of rebirth. The large pewter pendant and key fob resemble the shape of a scallop shell while the smaller pendant takes its cue from a mussel.
“Over the years, Royal Selangor’s support has reaped many benefits for BCWA in helping to reduce the risk of women dying at a young age due to breast cancer through our community outreach early detection services,” said Ranjit Kaur, President of BCWA.
She adds, “At the same time, BCWA continues to improve the quality of life for women with breast cancer through psychosocial support services and survivorship activities. We look forward to the continuity of this invaluable corporate social support from Royal Selangor.”
Pink is available at all Royal Selangor retail stores and online at royalselangor.com.
